Conservative CNN pundit Scott Jennings is being encouraged to run for Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell’s open Senate seat in 2026. McConnell announced his retirement, leaving the door open for contenders. Former Kentucky AG Daniel Cameron has entered the race. Cameron mentioned McConnell in a campaign video, criticizing his votes against certain nominees. Trump and McConnell have not endorsed anyone yet.
