Shift in Car Market Towards SUVs and Trucks
The car market has shifted with SUVs and trucks now dominating sales over traditional cars like sedans. SUVs make up 58% of new vehicle sales, while sedans only make up 19%. American carmakers have largely abandoned the sedan market in favor of SUVs. The popularity of SUVs is attributed to their height, cargo space, and legroom, even though they come with a higher price tag.
