Teen Serial Murderer in Chicago

Antonio Reyes, a teenager turned 21, was charged with six counts of murder for killing victims at random while they were going about their daily activities in 2020 on Chicago's Southwest Side. He was also charged with four counts of attempted murder, including children between ages 3 and 9. Reyes had been in police custody since 2021 for a separate murder charge and attempted to kill his cellmate with a shank. Police were able to link a .40-caliber handgun and Reyes' social media footprint to the crimes. The case was a result of extensive investigative work by Chicago police detectives.
