Middle East Peace Process

A Saudi-led group of Arab states is proposing a plan for Palestinian statehood to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East. The plan includes creating a Palestinian state along pre-1967 borders and aims to implement a two-state solution. Israel has expressed reluctance, insisting on 'total victory' against Hamas. Washington and Riyadh are working on a more realistic version of the plan to use Saudi recognition of Israel to push for concessions on Palestinian statehood.
