Attempted Coup in Bolivia

President Luis Arce of Bolivia faced an attempted coup as armored vehicles rammed into the government palace. The army commander appeared to be leading the rebellion but did not explicitly say it was a coup. Arce called for democracy to be respected, appointed new heads of the army, navy, and air force, and urged troops to return to their units.
