Department of Homeland Security Sting in Los Angeles

Twelve wanted criminals were arrested in a pre-dawn raid in Los Angeles in a seven-agency sting led by the Department of Homeland Security after a two-year investigation targeting transnational gangs. The gangs were Armenian-led and tied to organized crime syndicates with connections to the Mexican mafia. Some suspects are charged with serious crimes like attempted murder and fraud. The operation resulted in the recovery of cash, armored vehicles, and firearms.
