Hollywood star Michael Douglas hopes the upcoming election will bring a new chapter for the U.S. He plays Ben Franklin in a new Apple TV+ series and expressed disappointment in the current state of democracy. Douglas, a Democrat, endorsed Mike Bloomberg in the 2020 election and was once asked to run for governor of California.
