Murder of British Police Officer in Armed Robbery
A 75-year-old man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a British police officer during an armed robbery in northern England nearly two decades ago. The man, Piran Ditta Khan, organized the robbery and fled to Pakistan soon after the murder. He was extradited to the U.K. last year and sentenced to a minimum of 40 years in prison.
