Conviction of Bulgarian Nationals for Spying for Russia

Three Bulgarian nationals in Britain were convicted of spying for Russia on an industrial scale, putting lives in danger by carrying out surveillance across Europe between 2020 and 2023. They spied on a U.S. air base in Germany, discussed kidnapping or killing opponents of the Russian state, and attempted to lure a Bulgarian journalist into a "honeytrap" romance. The spy ring also had plans related to a Bellingcat journalist.
