Cam Sutton's Suspension and Return to Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Cam Sutton will miss the first eight games of the NFL season after violating the league’s personal conduct policy due to an arrest in March on a charge of domestic battery by strangulation. He surrendered to authorities, entered a pretrial diversion program, and signed with the Detroit Lions before being released after the incident. Sutton returned to Pittsburgh on a one-year deal and will be eligible for reinstatement on Oct. 29.
