Illegal Migration through the Darién Jungle
The number of illegal U.S.-bound migrants passing through the dangerous Darién jungle plummeted by nearly 99 percent during February 2025 compared to February 2024, Panama's Migrant Authority revealed. There has been a significant reduction in migrant traffic due to various policies enacted by Panama and the election of President Donald Trump.
