Right-wing tech moguls casting doubt on Romanian election results
Right-wing tech moguls Elon Musk and David Sacks, advisers to President Trump, cast doubt on the Romanian presidential election results and expressed dissatisfaction with the state of democracy in Romania. They supported a pro-Russia candidate, George Simion, who lost to the centrist winner Nicușor Dan. The U.S. Embassy in Romania sent teams to observe the voting and congratulated the president-elect. Musk and Sacks have previously expressed support for Russia in its conflict with Ukraine.
