Fatal Shooting of Bahamian Politician Don Saunders

A well-known politician in the Bahamas, Don Saunders, was fatally shot during an armed robbery. The shooting occurred in a neighborhood near Nassau, the capital city, with two masked gunmen demanding cash from a group of people outside an establishment. Saunders, a former parliamentarian and deputy chairman of the Free National Movement Party, died at the scene. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
