Bill Gates Accelerates Donation Pledge to Charity
Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, has accelerated his pledge to donate most of his fortune to charity by giving around $200 billion over the next 20 years to the Gates Foundation. The foundation will close by 2045. Gates aims to focus on urgent needs and innovative projects, such as improving agriculture, curing diseases like HIV, and providing better education. He hopes to fill the gap left by government cuts in foreign aid programs. Gates believes enormous wealth comes with the responsibility to help others and set an example for philanthropy.
