Sierra Nevada Blizzard

A powerful blizzard in the Sierra Nevada shut down Interstate 80, with up to 10 feet of snow expected. Thousands of homes lost power, and travel conditions were extremely dangerous. Ski resorts closed, and some areas faced high avalanche danger.
