Discovery of the J.C. Ames Tugboat Shipwreck

A long-lost shipwreck, the J.C. Ames tugboat, sunk in 1923, was recently found in Lake Michigan near Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The discovery was made by a fisherman and announced by the Wisconsin Historical Society. The tugboat, built in 1881 for the lumber trade, was intentionally sunk and has now resurfaced after over 100 years.
