Suspected Participant in Kabul Airport Suicide Bombing Faces U.S. Charges

Mohammad Sharifullah, a suspected participant in the suicide bombing at the Kabul airport, arrived in the U.S. to face criminal charges. He admitted to being a member of ISIS-K and his role in the attack. The bombing killed 13 American service members and around 170 Afghan civilians. Sharifullah was captured in Balochistan province near the Afghan border and is charged with providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization resulting in death.
