Toy Robot Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities

Cybersecurity experts warned about popular toy robots that were vulnerable to hacking due to features like a touchscreen, microphone, loudspeaker, and camera. Malicious actors could make video calls, retrieve personal information, hijack parental accounts, and upload modified firmware. The vulnerabilities have been fixed, but similar risks exist with other smart devices.
