Misidentification of Hostage Corpse by Hamas
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) discovered that one of the four hostages handed over by Hamas was not the right person. The bodies of Ariel and Kfir Bibas were positively identified, but Shiri Bibas was not among the corpses. It is unclear whether Shiri Bibas is still alive or her body has been lost, and it remains uncertain how Israel will respond to Hamas's violation.
