Palisades Fire Lawsuit Against LADWP

A lawsuit claims that the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is responsible for part of the damage in the Palisades Fire due to a power line that allegedly sparked a second blaze. The agency initially denied the line was active but later admitted it was during the fire that destroyed structures and killed 12 people.

Controversial Power Distribution Station in Pacific Palisades

LADWP plans to build a power distribution station in Pacific Palisades, facing opposition from neighbors and the school. The project was dropped in 2023 but is now being revived after the recent Palisades Fire. The new design includes burying utility wires underground and seeking public input. Estimated completion time is two years.
