Freighter Accident in Lake Superior

A freighter in Lake Superior hit an underwater obstacle, started taking on water, and had to be evacuated by half of its crew. The ship was carrying taconite, a low-grade iron ore, and was headed to port for repairs. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
