Shooting of Salwan Momika in Sweden
Iraqi-born Islam critic Salwan Momika was shot dead in Sweden just hours before his court appearance for Qur’an-burning protests. Five people arrested for murder. Momika rose to prominence after burning Qur’ans, triggering massive protests and a diplomatic crisis for Sweden. He had served in an anti-ISIS militia in Iraq. A verdict in the case was delayed due to his death.
