International Organized Crime Ring Targeting Houses of Worship in Maryland and Northern Virginia

An international organized crime ring, reportedly Romanian mobsters, are targeting houses of worship in Maryland and Northern Virginia, stealing donations and valuables. Police suspect the group, known as ROMAs, of hitting Buddhist temples, mosques, and Hindu temples in the Washington, D.C., area. Two suspects, Alex Dumitru and Natalian Dumitru, have been arrested in connection with the burglaries. The group is described as focused on monetary rewards rather than having political motivations.
