Legislation to Combat Child Sex Trafficking in California

California State Senator Susan Eggman, a Democrat, is pushing for legislation to make buying or soliciting sex from a minor a felony in order to protect children from abuse. She is frustrated with members of her party who have watered down the bill, and believes it is a moral responsibility to stand against such crimes. The bill has received support from Gov. Gavin Newsom and passed unanimously in the State Senate.
