Russia's Angara-A5 Rocket Test Launch

Russia successfully test-launched a new heavy-lift rocket from its Far Eastern space complex after two previous aborted attempts. The rocket is part of the Angara family developed to replace Soviet-designed Proton rockets.

Rocket Launch Failures by Space One and Russia

Space One launched a rocket that exploded seconds into its ascent, Japan's first-ever private firm to put a satellite into orbit. Russia's second attempt to test-launch a new heavy-lift rocket from its Far Eastern space complex was also aborted. The launch was to be the fourth for the Angara-A5 rocket, which has been developed to replace the Soviet-designed Proton rockets.
