Arrest of Connecticut Woman for Holding Stepson in Captivity for 20 Years

A Connecticut woman has been arrested for holding her stepson in captivity for over 20 years, subjecting him to abuse, neglect, and starvation. The victim was found in severely emaciated condition and disclosed the abuse to first responders. The suspect's lawyer claims the victim's late father was responsible for his upbringing. The victim's father had died in 2024 and the victim's biological mother had not been involved in his life since he was 2 years old.
