Sudanese Military Aircraft Crash in Omdurman
A military aircraft crash in Omdurman, Sudan, resulted in at least 46 deaths, including women and children, making it one of the deadliest plane crashes in the country in the past two decades. The crash damaged houses in the Karrari district, and among the dead were senior military officers and the aircraft crew. Sudan is also battling a cholera outbreak that has killed 1,472 people and sickened around 56,000 in recent months.
