Assault on off-duty NYPD officer

23-year-old Taveon Hargrove has been identified as a person of interest in the case of an off-duty NYPD officer being beaten and held at knifepoint. The officer was robbed of his belongings, including his handgun. The officer suffered severe injuries and will undergo surgery.
