Saving the Leaning Tower of Bologna

A plan has been devised to save the leaning Torre Garisenda in Bologna using equipment similar to what was used to stabilize the Tower of Pisa. The structure, built in the 12th century, leans at a four-degree angle and is at a high risk of collapsing. The mayor announced a safeguarding operation estimated at 19 million euros to secure the tower.
