British Nuclear Missile Test Failure

A British-launched nuclear missile test in January failed and splashed back into the sea. The Ministry of Defence confirmed the failure but assured that the nuclear deterrent remains effective. The failure was attributed to testing equipment strapped onto the missile. The Trident missiles used by Britain are leased from the U.S. and rely heavily on American technology.
