Israeli Withdrawal from U.N. Human Rights Council

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar announced Israel's withdrawal from the U.N. Human Rights Council due to protection of human rights abusers, antisemitic rhetoric, and harassment of Israel. President Trump also withdrew the U.S. for similar reasons and terminated support for UNRWA. Sa’ar criticized the Council for targeting Israel disproportionately and perpetuating the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
