Inmate Death at Wisconsin Prison

Another inmate, Donald Maier, has been found dead at the troubled Wisconsin prison, Waupun Correctional Institution. This is the fourth death at the facility since June 2023. Investigations are ongoing into the deaths. The Department of Corrections faced challenges including high staff vacancies and resource shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic.
