Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's statements on border policies and immigration reform
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg stated that President Biden didn't eliminate all of the border policies put in place by former President Trump, but specifically got rid of the policy to separate children from their parents. He mentioned that the economy and conditions in Latin America are influencing migration. Buttigieg criticized Republicans for opposing the Senate border bill and highlighted bipartisan efforts on immigration reform.
