Resignation of Federal Prosecutor in Manhattan and Dropping of Case Against New York Mayor

Danielle Sassoon, the top federal prosecutor in Manhattan, resigned after being ordered to drop the case against New York Mayor Eric Adams by the Justice Department. Allegations were made that the case was brought against Adams due to his criticism of former President Joe Biden. Adams has pled not guilty to charges of accepting illegal campaign contributions.
