A clash between tribes in Papua New Guinea resulted in at least 49 deaths. Tribal warfare is becoming more deadly in the region.

The World Health Organization warns that more than half of the world's countries will be at high risk of measles by the end of 2024 due to missed vaccinations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Measles cases are on the rise globally, with severe complications and deaths reported.

Increase in Homeless Deaths in Los Angeles

Over 2,000 homeless individuals died in Los Angeles in 2023, showing a 300% increase from 2014. Majority of deaths were due to drug overdoses, particularly fentanyl-related. The crisis is exacerbated by the fact that most of the unhoused population are living outside.

Dangers of Fentanyl

Three Florida mothers are raising awareness about the dangers of fentanyl after losing their children to the deadly drug. Over 3,000 individuals died from fentanyl poisoning in Florida from January to June 2022.
