Sinaloa Cartel Drug Distribution Operation in U.S.
A cell of the Sinaloa Cartel led by Heiberto “El Paisa” Salazar Amaya operated in four major U.S. cities conducting a large-scale drug distribution operation, resulting in the largest fentanyl seizure to date. The U.S. DEA conducted raids seizing over 400 kilograms of fentanyl, weapons, cash, and luxury vehicles.
