Joaquin Phoenix pulls out of Todd Haynes' untitled detective movie about two men in love and fleeing to Mexico days before production, leaving the project on hold. The film was set to be an explicit gay love story with financing dependent on Phoenix's casting. Haynes now focuses on directing the limited series 'Trust' with Kate Winslet at HBO.
