Houston is reeling after thunderstorms with hurricane-force winds knocked out electricity to nearly 1 million homes and businesses, causing widespread damage and resulting in four deaths. The storm brought extreme winds of up to 100 miles per hour, causing considerable damage throughout the region, with fallen trees, downed power lines, and structural damage to buildings. Houston has been hit by extreme weather twice in the last two weeks, with recent severe flooding as well.
