Boehner now works for a lobbying firm and is hosting the event for Grow the Majority. General attendees pay $1,500, while VIPs pay $25,000. Johnson and Boehner have both faced criticism for their actions, with Johnson allegedly going further in appeasing Democrats. Boehner has been vocal against Donald Trump and conservatives, and has supported liberal policies even after resigning from Congress.
