Amsterdam's Over-Tourism Crackdown
The city of Amsterdam is cracking down on over-tourism by implementing a ban on new hotels in the city center, allowing new hotels only if another one closes down. The move is part of the 'Tourism in balance' policy created in 2021 to limit overnight stays by tourists to 20 million a year.
