France bans use of carnivore terms on vegetarian products

France has banned the use of terms like 'steak' on plant-based products, with fines for violations. Terms like 'escalope', 'ham', 'filet', and 'prime rib' can no longer be used. Some exceptions exist for products with a small amount of plant-based content. The ruling is in response to complaints from the meat industry.
