Pope Francis opening 'sacred portals'

Pope Francis is preparing to unbrick and open five 'sacred portals' symbolizing the doorway to salvation after 25 years. This tradition dates back to 1300 and marks 'Jubilee' years. One door will be opened in a prison for the first time. The doors will remain open for pilgrims until January 6, 2026.
