French Election Results 2024

The French election results showed that an alliance between President Emmanuel Macron and the far left blocked the populist National Rally from gaining a majority. Despite winning the most votes, the National Rally was not awarded the most seats due to a backroom deal between Macron and the far left. This outcome may set the National Rally up for an easier path to win the French presidency in 2027.
