Wildfire in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles

A Santa Ana wind-fueled wildfire has destroyed around 1,000 structures in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles. Many homes were lost to the flames, and evacuations were ordered for the whole community. Several wildfires are currently uncontained, and there have been reports of serious injuries among those who did not evacuate.

Pepperdine University canceled classes and finals due to a nearby brush fire in Malibu. Evacuations and shelter-in-place orders were in effect as the fire grew to over 2,800 acres, destroying structures and prompting power outages.
