Russian casualties in Ukraine

Russia has lost an enormous 450,000 soldiers and 3,000 tanks in Ukraine, with casualties averaging 560 troops a day since the invasion began. The UK estimates the loss of almost 3,000 tanks, and tens of thousands of soldiers have deserted Putin's armed forces. Death toll figures are hard to track accurately due to conflicting reports from both sides.
