Increased Violence in LA Schools and Debate Over Police Presence

A grassroots group in LA is urging the return of police officers in schools due to a significant increase in violent incidents since 2021. This comes after police were removed from school campuses following the riots over George Floyd's murder in 2020.

Hostage Rescue in Sinaloa State, Mexico

Mexican authorities rescue 42 hostages, including 18 children, from criminal groups in Sinaloa state after a wave of kidnappings. Special force troops were sent to beef up security and efforts are ongoing to find 24 more kidnapped individuals.
