Survivor of the 2004 Asian Tsunami now runs an orphanage
Watana Sittirachot, raised in a Thai orphanage after being affected by the 2004 Asian tsunami, now runs the orphanage. The tsunami killed 230,000 people in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand and other countries. Sittirachot earned degrees with support from the orphanage and took over as director after the founder's death. Khao Lak, a tourist spot in Thailand heavily affected by the tsunami, shows signs of rebuilding and remembrance.
